E.S. Wagner served as prime contractor on this four lane resurfacing and bridge deck replacement project for the Ohio Department of Transportation. The project involved the removal and replacement of two Interstate 75 bridge decks approximately 2,000 feet in length along with a smaller 200 foot long structure. In addition to the bridge work, extensive reconstruction of the approach pavement and appurtenances was required. A multi-phase traffic control plan also required the utilization of a smartzone traffic system to keep traffic moving in a safe manner along this stretch of the busy interstate.

The contract required that each phase of the removal and replacement be completed in 120 days with a substantial incentive or disincentive for not meeting the time limit. Thorough aggressive scheduling and innovative work practices, E.S. Wagner was able to complete the work well ahead of schedule and received over $500,000 in early completion incentives.
