E.S. Wagner Begins 5.15 Billion Gallon Lima Reservoir Project
E.S. Wagner Company broke ground October 19, 2009 on construction of a 5.15 billion gallon reservoir covering 440 acres for the city of Lima, Ohio. The preliminary work performed through the fall and winter will consist of installing 16,000 linear feet of storm sewer, 53 storm structures, and approximately half of the core trench and blanket drains. ESW will also begin construction of the cast in place influent and effluent structures. All of these preliminary items will prepare for the excavation of over 4 million cubic yards of embankment to achieve substantial completion by December 31, 2010. In addition to the earthwork, E.S. Wagner will also place over 115,000 cubic yards of aggregate materials ranging from sand to 24 rock channel protection. In completing the project E.S. Wagner will self perform over 95% of the $14.5 million contract.
